Geography at Scantabout not only provides children with problem solving and enquiry skills but equips them with values and responsibilities necessary for adult life and employment. Our ‘mini-geographers’ are given practical and stimulating opportunities to develop a sense of place through:

• Exploring our extensive grounds
• Discovering the local area and it’s characteristics
• Adventuring further a field to compare and contrast areas
• Investigating other countries through CD ROMs videos, role play and colourful topic work

In Year 6, children have the chance to develop and focus their geographical understanding during a week’s residential field trip.
